The 2010 Wyoming Liberty Index is now available. The tables for the two houses of the Wyoming legislature are shown below.
Update, 24 October 2010: updated spreadsheets for 2010 are available. The bill ratings have not changed, but some comments were inadvertently omitted from the earlier spreadsheets.
The Top Dozen liberty-supporting members in the House were (in order) Representatives Bob Brechtel, Lorraine Quarberg, Sue Wallis, David Miller, Frank Peasley, Matt Teeters, Mark Semlek, Ross Diercks, Amy Edmonds, Timothy Hallinan, Frank Philp, and Lisa Shepperson. Rep. Brechtel wins the title of "Most Liberty-Friendly Member of the House for 2010".
The Need Improvement - those members who most consistently voted to limit freedom - were (in order) Representatives Glenn Moniz, Mary Throne, Keith Gingery, Peter Jorgensen, Lori Millin, Tim Stubson, Kermit Brown, Jim Roscoe, James Byrd, Cathy Connolly, Debbie Hammons and Mary Hales. Rep. Hales has earned the title of "Most Liberty-Hostile Member of the House for 2010".
The Top Half-Dozen liberty-supporting members in the Senate were (in order) Senators Cale Case, Curt Meier, John Hines, Dan Dockstader, Drew Perkins, and John Schiffer. Once again, (for as long as we have been rating the Senate), Senator Cale Case has come out on top; he earns the title of the "Most Liberty-Friendly Member of the Senate for 2010" by a substantial margin. Kudos yet again to Senator Case!
The Senate Need Improvement - those members who most consistently voted to limit freedom - were (in order) Senators Michael Von Flatern, Tony Ross (tied), Saundra Meyer, Rick Hunnicutt, Grant Larson, James Elliott, Jr., and Marty Martin. Senator Martin has earned the title of "Most Liberty-Hostile Member of the Senate for 2010".
In the charts below, where more than one member shows the same rank, it means that they tied in score.
The most liberty-supporting legislators are at the top of the table.
